Wayne Dowdeswell
Lighting Designer
Wayne trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. His early work was in Manchester before he joined the Royal Shakespeare Company where he lit many productions for The Other Place, The Pit and Barbican Theatres. He has designed extensively within the UK and abroad, particularly for the annual festivals at Longborough Opera and Pitlochry.
Wayne received Olivier Award nominations for Edward II for RSC at the Pit, Tamburlaine the Great for Wyndeham’s, and Medea for RSC at the Barbican.
Recent projects include designing multiple shows for the Pitlochry Festival 2018, including Chicago, Little Voice, Quality Street, Travesties, Before The Party, and The Last Witch.
