Performing Arts is an artists’ management agency, representing stage directors, set, costume and lighting designers, conductors and choreographers. Founded by Richard Haigh in 1983, it is now managed by Samantha Lambourne.
Samantha Lambourne is an Artists’ Manager and Managing Partner of Performing Arts. She has worked at Chichester Festival Theatre, Scottish Opera, ENO and Glyndebourne, where she was their Production Co-ordinator. She also launched a fashion sports wear brand for female football supporters. She previously worked at Performing Arts in 1998 for 2 years and returned in 2007.
Sophie Rafalowska-Dunning joined Performing Arts in March 2015 as contracts and finance administrator. She has now begun managing the agencies younger, emerging artists as well as handling the administration side of the company. Since graduating from The University of Sussex with an English Literature degree in 2013, she has worked as Junior Publicist at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Marketing and Publicity Officer for The Old Market Theatre in Brighton, and Social Marketing Officer for STOMP.
Richard Haigh started his career as a bassoonist with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. He then went on to become Librarian and Orchestra Manager at Trinity College of Music before joining the London Sinfonietta in the early 1970s. After brief periods of working for agencies Allied Artists, Dutch company De Koos, and Trafalgar Perry management he founded Performing Arts in 1983.
After 32 years managing the company Richard retired in May 2015.
