Natalia was born in Moscow, Russia into theatrical family where from a young age she was surrounded by musicians, singers and dancers. She started her career as a classical ballet dancer after graduating from Moscow Choreographic Academy (Bolshoi Academy).

After moving to the UK, Natalia continued to dance but also started to pursue her interest in stage design receiving a BA in Theatre Design from London College of Fashion.

She began her career in the West End as a Wardrobe Mistress on shows such as Grease The Musical, Sideman and Napoleon. Parallel to that Natalia started working with designers as a Costume Supervisor delivering productions from designer’s vision to stage. Later on she joined Royal Opera House, where she collaborated with many world famous designers, choreographers, dancers and directors, reviving classic work by G.Balanchine, F. Ashton and K.Macmillan.

Since 2011 Natalia has collaborated many times with choreographer Johan Kobborg, the artistic director of National Romanian Ballet until 2016. Their first production was the two part Alumni (Royal Danish Ballet). Each part, La Luten and Salute have been performed many times around the world. In 2012 they collaborated with Ethan Stiefel creating costumes for Giselle (Royal New Zealand Ballet, also USA, Asia and Romania) which was made into a film by director Toa Fraser, shown at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival. At the Romanian Ballet Natalia has designed sets and costumes for La Sylphide in 2013 and Theme and Variations, 2016. .

Natalia designed costumes for an innovative four part ballet Genesis, choreographed by Kim Branstrup and Ernst Meisner involving principal dancers from Royal Ballet, Royal Birmingham Ballet and English National Ballet. Genesis is currently available to download from iTunes.

Recent work has included designing costumes for Tosca for Iceland Opera, a Boots Pharmacy TV advert featuring ballet dancer Alessandra Ferri, designing set and costumes for Dick Whittington at the Peterborough Vivacity Theatre and working as Costume Coordinator on a production of Manon at Astana Opera, Kazakhstan.
