Nicholas Hall

Fight Director

Nicholas has over 30 years’ experience of directing fights in theatre, opera, ballet, television and film. As a member of the Renaissance Theatre Company, he devised fights and violent moments for theatre and film in productions directed by Geraldine McEwan, Derek Jacobi and Kenneth Branagh. He is head of the degree course at the East 15 Acting School based around stage combat. Other productions have been at ENO, SO and ON.

Nicholas works regularly with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, recent productions include: Hamlet, Betrothal in a MonasteryDie Meistersinger von NürnbergOtelloCarmenGiulio CesareDon Giovanni. Other recent productions include Carmen (Gothenburg Opera); Peter Pan (Kensington Gardens, O2, USA); Romeo and Juliet (ENO, 15 Degrees East, British Pavilion, Shanghai Expo) and The Car Man (TV, World tour).
