Born in Dublin, Colm trained at the Irish National College of Dance and The Royal Ballet School. He then went on to join the Irish National Ballet and become a founding member of Fabulous Beast Dance Theatre.
He’s danced with the Royal Opera, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera Ireland, Glyndebourne and Garsington opera as well as opera companies in Europe and the United States.
Colm has worked as revival choreographer on La Traviata (Scottish Opera, Welsh National Opera, Geneva, Teatro Real, Madrid and Liceu, Barcelona), Die Meistersinger von Nurnburg (also San Fransisco), Die Entfuhrung Aus Dem Serail and Eugene Onegin (Glyndebourne), Orlando (Opéra de Lille and Opéra de Dijon), Les Troyens (Royal Opera), Andrea Chenier (Royal Opera, San Francisco Opera and the National Centre For Performing Arts, Beijing), Agrippina (Liceu, Barcelona) and Manon (Dallas Opera and Teatro Colón Buenos Aires).
Recent engagements include choreographing new productions of Gloriana for the Teatro Real in Madrid and Ariodante at the Wiener Staatsoper.
