Short biography John B. Read is lighting consultant to the Royal Opera and the Royal Ballet companies for whom he has lit many outstanding productions in the last 15 years. He is largely responsible for establishing lighting as an integral part of dance presentation through his work with most major classical and contemporary ballet companies in four continents, including dance companies in Berlin, Paris, Stockholm, Milan and Australia as well as New York City Ballet and ABT. London West End music theatre productions include ON YOUR TOES and SONG AND DANCE. He works regularly with theatre companies throughout Britain.
