Short biography
The late Dr Julia Trevelyan Oman studied at the Royal College of Arts. She designed for television, West End theatres, the RNT, the RSC, Hamburg State Opera, Glyndebourne (ARABELLA), the Royal Opera (EUGENE ONEGIN, LA BOHEME, DIE FLEDERMAUS), The Royal Ballet (ENIGMA VARIATIONS, A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY, NUTCRACKER) and productions in Chichester, Boston, Vienna, New York and Canada. She was elected Royal Designer for Industry in 1977, honoured with the CBE in 2986 and an Hon. DLitt by Bristol University in 1987.
Jullia Trevelyan Oman died in October 2003.
